First Try

While reflecting on the first two days of school and after reading an article in the REA magazine, a revelation hit me: people create blogs because they don't feel comfortable venting to real-time people :). Well, that's part of what I felt. Whenever I have a knee-jerk reaction to an incident or just feel like retaliating to an injustice (whether perceived or real!), I try to take a day before acting upon that feeling. So here I am, a day later and writing my first blog entry. Some random thoughts: I understand why over 44% of teachers leave the profession within the first 5 years. People in power never look out for the pions. Singing karaoke in your little sister's room is cathartic--especially when it's a Grease soundtrack and you're also sharp! :)
